Special Ops Training for Sheriff Department

Back

On February 6, 2008, at the Bellevue Police (and Fire) Training Center (at 1838 116th Ave NE) the King County Sheriff SWAT Team and helicopter, Guardian One, did routine training. With guns in hand and wearing full body-armor, SWAT members repelled from the helicopter with ropes onto a training building which is probably about five stories up. I was about level with the top of the building and about 100 yards away. It was very loud and amazing to see in person. I was in the middle of something and did not have time to go down to the training center for a better view (I don't know if they would have let me pass the gate or not). Maybe next time :) SOME PEOPLE HAVE CONTACTED ME THINKING I WAS HIDING BEHIND TREES, but I was not. There just happened to be lots of tree in between the training center and the parking-lot I was filming from. Furthermore, I DID NOT TRESPASS any property to videotape this. Another NOTE: this might be Guardian Two (as one youtuber brought up in the comments) because Guardian One does not have any hoists on it. Last Updated: February 23, 2008
