ARCANGEL TIRAERA PA GORDO BREGA Y LAPIZ | NEW 2008

PRESS RELEASE: Mon 5/26/08 Friday, May 24th, 2008 in Washington DC's (Club Name), International Latin Urban artist Arcangel did the unthinkable and started a beef with underground spanglish hip-hop legend Gordo Brega. After Gordo Brega aka "The King of Spanglish Hip-Hop" opened up for the already established artist, Arcangel began an arrogant call out of anyone who opposes him in the genre. After this call out to the crowd of "tiraera," Gordo Brega in good fun began chanting the name "Lapiz" (an international Dominican MC known to be one of Arcangel's rivals) with his contingency from the VIP section of the club. Instead of taking it in good fun, Arcangel took it personal and began disrespecting Lapiz Conciente by stating that he has no money and no one knows who he is. Gordo Brega took personal offense to this because Lapiz hails from the Dominican Republic (where Gordo is also from). Brega felt that because Lapiz worked so hard to overcome obstacles in a third world country, it was only right that Brega called Arcangel out for mocking Lapiz. After his show, Arcangel continued his tirade by giving a negative interview backstage and was recorded mocking Lapiz and Gordo Brega by claiming financial superiority and stepping on Gordo Brega CD's. As a man of principle and a believer in Hip-hop, Gordo Brega has responded to Arcangel's ignorance by releasing a diss track .Gordo states, "even though what he did was stupid, I appreciate it because it gives me a chance to get at him and promote myself." There is no doubt Arcangel has accomplished much more commercial success that Gordo Brega, but he has a very tough lyrical battle with one of hip-hop's best underground MC's..... -Das Media LLc.
