"Walk away" is pretty vague, I agree. We can't walk back into the jungles because we have no idea how to speak its language anymore. We have invented a new nature called culture and technology (or nature has transformed itself into something new), and it's here to stay. What we can walk away from is the idea that culture owns nature and has the right to do with her as he pleases. We need to get husband and wife back together in marriage, because right now they are killing each other. We need to walk away from the idea of ownership all together. Humanity needs to see itself as shepherds of the natural world, here to assist its flourishing, not to steal its resources and give back only waste.
