Acharya Shree Yogeesh says that many people got trapped under a popular teacher, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who became very rich by selling mantras, promising them they would meditate somehow. By giving such mantras, the mind would become tired with over-repeating, therefore requiring the meditator to ask for a new mantra, which in turn made Maharishi Mahesh Yogi even richer. He states that if a person wants to make their own mind tired, they can repeat any word. It could even be your own name.
