Brooke Bennett's stepfather and uncle have both been nabbed in what's being called a possible child sex ring.16:11:57SOT: WE NEVER WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TO THESE ARRESTS IF IT WASN'T PART OF THIS INVESTIGATION Ray Gagnon of San Antonio, Texas is expected in federal court Wednesday. The 40-year-old is accused of destroying evidence in connection with probe into his stepdaughter Brooke's disappearance. Gagnon reportedly split with the 12-year-old's mother about four years ago.16:07:58SOT: the investigation into gagnon is a bi-product into the disappearance of brooke. again as a result of interviewing people it came to our attention that he was involved in an act that's a violation of the law. That's all i'm going to say about that. The arrest comes just days after the girl's uncle Michael Jacques (jakes) was taken into custody. The 42-year-old registered sex offender has since pleaded not guilty to an aggravated sexual assault charge. The charge doesn't involve Bennett-- but he has been named a person of interest in his niece's disappearance.16:03:55SOT: the focus of today's investigation focused on jacques property. A canine team assisted in the search. And we continue to get value info in this investigation. Meantime, the search continues for Brooke. She vanished last week after her uncle dropped her off at a Randolph convenience store. A surveillance video shows the two leaving the store together and then going their separate ways.16:10:20SOT: I THINK WE'RE MAKING GREAT PROGRESS, WE'RE ELIMINITATING PLACES WHERE SHE MAY BE.
