I'm not sure it is fair to make GUI the crux of your arguement against Linux, not trying to bash you but I feel that you are possibly a little to defensive of MAC OS X 10 to make it a fair arguement between Linux and Windows & MAC. But I do agree that after experimenting with a variety of Linux distributions based on Red Hat and Debian, I lost interest in Linux in the end and have unfortunately reverted back to Windows - just the way it goes I suppose!

darkparadox23, I might be completely wrong but I think Banshee supports the use of ipod on linux. I used Ubuntu for a brief period and I think I read somewhere Banshee supports Ipods but then again I could be completely wrong :-S

I can't use Xp any more cause it crushed yesterday. Xp-partition is now just trashcan. I think i'll make that partition filesystem-ext3 next week.

Me too. My Xp crashed 3 weeks after reinstallation while Ubuntu works fine and looks much better than e.g Vista. Many of my friends are interesting to jump from Xp to Ubuntu. People seem to be tired of investing another 800 € to new computer to run with fiasco like Vista.
