Apparently the Taliban wants to make a truce and the British top commander and British ambassador to Afghanistan have claimed the "war is unwinnable" and that compromises need to be made. Sounds to me like both sides have made life hell for the other. What are people's thoughts on this?

some will walk the walk and others just talk the talk. We cannot just talk about how dangerous the opium trade is bc it puts money into taliban/al quaeda's hand to blow up innocent civilians from the west, but we MUST do something.

Actually we fighting against insurgents too which make up a large part. Which are basically just people who want foreign troops out of their country.

.... shut the fuck up... religion has nothing to do with it- they KNOW their own country ffs, so they know ALL the hiding spots in the mountains and in the towns, hell even civilians are helping by letting them hide in their homes. 'allah' has NOTHING to do with it, strategic hit and run attacks are working against the US/NATO. Would allah stop a nuke from hitting the country if they fired one? i dont think so.

NATO /US troops didnt learn from Aghanistans hiostory. No one can conquer Afghans or the country. Today USA and NATO is admitting they are loosing the war in Afghanistan. Thsi is a sign to you non muslims that Islam is the true religion of Allah and Allah is with these "ragheads".

People always say bad things about Canada and how they never help anyone. But it's great to know America and Canada are fighting together to stop the people who want us all destroyed, in the search for Osama.
