Hell tooleven, even Meyers himself freely admitted that he broke forum rules & handled things poorly. His idiotic actions are what got him arrested, NOT what he said. You really should find out what you're talking about before you open your mouth & prove how fucking ignorant you are.

bodaggin, exactly right. All they were doing was escorting him from the room after ACCENT cut his mic for breaking forum rules. It wasn't until he violently resisted that lawful removal & tried to get others to interfere with the Officers that he was being arrested.

LOL tooleleven you're an idiot. I'll even explain to you why you're an idiot. What happened to Meyers had NOTHING to do with the questions being "controversial". Hell, Meyers never should have been at the mic after disrupting the forum & yelling & cursing at Kerry. He broke no less than 3 forum rules & THAT is why the mic was cut. 2nd, freedom of speech does NOT apply to this situation. You need to reread it. So, that said, YOU can go fuck YOURSELF you ignorant prick.

Are you a Nazi supporter or a socialist? If asking a controversial question is too much freedom for you then you should leave America. If you do not live in America, go fuck yourself.

Thanks man, seems like more of a soft crowd is into commenting on youtube. Tough for them to understand that even though they don't see much for violence or how its handled in this day and age, that it still happens, more than ever. This guy showed the signs and I'm sure all they were going to do is remove him, I've been to these types of things with situations like this and all that happens is they haul him out, no arrests or anything, just removal.

Wow JoeMetros, you're just full of it. He was NOT cuffed then tazed. He was NOT tazed more than once. The Officers had every right to remove this prick. Him saying "let me go & I'll walk out." doesn't mean shit. He had the chance to leave peacefully but he chose to violently resist a lawful removal & tried to get other to interfere with the Officers so there was no way he was leaving without being in cuffs because his dumb ass was under arrest.
JoeMetros (April 24th, 2008 @ 11:05 am)
He wasn't done asking his question which Kerry himself said he was going to answer until the mic got shutoff and police grabbed the student forcefully without warning or even saying anything. When the student asked what was going on and told them to release him they had more people come and grab him, then he said he would get up and leave after being put down by 6 officers while cuffed and still being painfully subdued, instead they told the witness's to shut up and tazed him twice. Sounds fair.

So when police try to take this person out of the room and he tries to get away numerous times, you would consider that complying? The taser is a non-lethal weapon used to contain someone who is causing a disruption, and he definitely caused that. He kept resisting the cuffs by moving his hands away so they tased him. Yes they had 5 guys and I agree it would have been simple to contain that punk without a taser, but they felt they needed to, and officers safety is priority! Deal with it!

cont)The Officers had NO obligation to honor Kerry's request &, after ACCENT cut the mic because he broke at least 3 forum rules, they had every right to escort him from the room. He wasn't being arrested until his ACTIONS warrented it. He violently resisted a lawful removal & tried to get others to interfere with the Officers. He then ignored repeated warnings to stop resisting or be tased. They weren't vague about what would happen. He made a choice. He chose tasing by choosing to ignore them.

turjo101, the forum rules were anounced prior to the Q&A period. Something that might help you have a better understanding of what happened that day are the videos titled WUFT Video Andrew Meyers, Don't taze me bro on the Today Show. Meyers disrupted the forum, yelling & cursing at Kerry & was being removed when Kerry asked that he be alowed to ask his question. On the way to the mic the Officers told him they were going to talk to him about his dissorderly conduct after he spoke.
