Actually, the character's name isn't Kuroi Hitomi. It's Kuromi, and her human form is named "Kurumi Nui"

Dattebayo is much like a verbal explanation mark, much as "ka" is a verbal geustion mark. To minimize conflict, japanese is constructied so that it is difficult to misconstrue the explicit meaning of something that is said, thus the verbalization of exclamations and questions. 'tebayo : )

Dattebayo can't be translated to English but it is usually something young children say to get attention. Like when a little kid in america wants their mother they would say something like, "Mama aaaah." and add an extra sound effect, where in Japan they would probably say "Haha, dattebayo!" (Note: Haha=Mother) ^^ Junko-chan is one of my idols. She's so awesome -^^-

it doesnt mean believe it. dattebayo is a slang term and cant be translated into english. they use believe it is the dubbed version but he never really said alot it in the japanese version.

Dattebayo doesn't mean anything ... it's just Naruto's slang or something like that ...

You're joking me, right? -_- Dattebayo doesn't HAVE a meaning. Am I the only Naruto fan who actually knows this stuff? -_-
LianaUchiha (November 7th, 2007 @ 2:09 am)
DATTEBAYO*
LianaUchiha (November 7th, 2007 @ 2:09 am)
It's just something Masashi made up at the end of Naruto's sentences. Some misguided translator, however, has it as "Believe it!" which is horrible. because DATEEBAYO has no meaning, techincally
