Seattle is just as boring, and pseudo-elitist, and inexplicably self-important as it was back then. This town, particularly its people, is a waste land of mediocrity.

I always thought this song was in retaliation to a show they played with Green River where Mark Arm just before PIL's set chided: "Stick around if you want to see what a real sellout looks like". Meanwhile during PIL's set the band stole Johnny Rotten's easy chair, and all of his wine from PIL's dressing room. Seattle continues to this day to disregard hero worship and display a veneer of subdued enthusiasm when confronted with would be or established "stars".
