Sure, it can be interpreted as racism unless you know that the sequel to this film is "The Rescuers Down Under" which to what I'm referring to.

I wonder what you mean by the words 'Down Under' being a disgrace, TaranWanderer? (I am concerned by your comment since I am Australian and am proud to be one- and your comment can be interpreted as racism, I'm sure.)

No, the point was to test the CAPS technique before trying it on a major project like "Beauty and the Beast." That was the actual point. The story is the same, and the animation from the original is hard to top.

Well they wanted a different story as well as more action, and better animation. That was the point.

What's its point? Other than to tell the same story and be left half-baked?

Great Video, the sequel of this is also great, and it's not pointless.

"Down Under" is a disgrace in every sense of the word. Even as an independent film it is totally half-baked and pointless.

Some say the sequel was uncalled for; I think it was. The Disney sequels I felt were uncalled for were: CINDERELLA II & III, THE LITTLE MERMAID II, 101 Dalmations II, Fox & Hound II & Both Beauty and the beast sequels. Sequels to fairy tales are not meant to happen; as for 101 & F&H they just had a plot that made sense to happen. Those sequels should have never happened; Down Under should have happened and it did and I liked it, period.
