Verka, are you talking about actor William Daniels playing Adams in this film or the real near ancient historical American figure?

I used to hate musicals but this one got me hooked on them.

Once in college, inspired by this scene, I gave a somewhat facetious persuasive speech on how we should change our national symbol to the turkey. Got a good grade, too. Best day of my life.

Actually in the Director's Cut DVD version of 1776, the whole movie is there. :) About 25 minutes was cut out of it including "Cool Considerate Men" along with some of the dialogue. But it's all back now where it should be and it's definitely worth buying. :)

Typically, copyright owners allow uses without royalty payments as long as the creative team is credited along with the lead actors, a link to a point of sale is included, and a link to the show's website is provided. This is not included in any of this members 1776 videos, jedimaster0096 with over 11,000 views of this scene given away. I wonder what people's thoughts are on this situation?

My family has the original soundtrack to this, on vinyl - unfortunately, the newer CD of the musical doesn't have Howard da Silva on it. I remember being wowed by the revival of this as a kid, and I loved the movie when I first saw it, and still do.

That's "Cool Considerate Men" you're thinking of, and I'm not sure if it's here.
