There is no point what so ever in arguing about Iraq. Whether our nations motives for invading the country were lawful or not is irrelevant. The fact is, we are there now, we have made the mess, and its our job to clean it up!!!

my prediction: the united states will wage war regardless of who is wielding the instruments of coercion. the insatiable appetite for conflict has manifested itself continuously over the last few decades. we will not stop shooting people and blowing things up until posterity disallows it. it will. going around the world shooting people and blowing things up is not cheap. it will prove unaffordable eventually.
