You can still do that. The problem with wireless, though, is the operator/administrator, not the technology. Your average joe doesn't know how to configure a secure net. -dan'l

Thanks, Red Green is a true duct tape inspiration. You are right, if you encrypt it, it should be safe from all but the most effective spy. But I still remember the days of driving around in the car with the laptop searching for unsecure networks; some didn't even take a password to log on. So yes, I limit my use of wireless any chance I get.

Wireless is not secure? Even if you run an encrypted network? I would thing that the duct tape would provide additional shielding. Thumbs up! Red-Green would be proud. -dan'l

Later this week, I'm going to swap out some ram between a couple of my computers. I plan on filming it, and I plan on this going terribly wrong, if ya know what I mean;) If you don't, I mean it will probably involve a hammer and maybe even gunfire:)

I had my video camera at the ready, I sat down at my computer, it couldn't find the internet, I had to trouble shoot the network redneck style. I figured hearing me blather on as I fixed the cable would not be much different than a person sitting in front of a webcam doing nothing as they talked. True, not my best piece of video footage ever, but it got me up to 75 videos!!!!! YeeHaw!!!!

Well you know how it is, everything in life automatically becomes a possible film when you have a video camera handy. This explanation also explains why I saw fit to film myself dragging an old Chevy van out of the brush. It may not make for exciting video, but that one time, when someone loses a finger, or we burn the place down we will have it on film for the world to laugh at.
